The Pharmacy program at ÁùºÏͼ¿â is Louisiana’s only publicly supported comprehensive center
for pharmaceutical education, research, and service. The Toxicology program at ÁùºÏͼ¿â
was the first of its kind in the South and is currently one of only six nationally.
In addition to our standard PharmD degree, our Pharmacy program also offers three
combination degree alternatives. The Graduate program at ÁùºÏͼ¿â College of Pharmacy
offers two PhD degree options.
The education offered at ÁùºÏͼ¿â equips our students with the tools necessary to be prepared
for and be successful in the constantly changing field of health care. Graduates of
our pharmacy program work across the nation in community and health-system pharmacies,
clinical practices, managed care groups, academia, the pharmaceutical industry, and
a wide variety of other settings.
Students enrolled in the programs offered by the College of Pharmacy at ÁùºÏͼ¿â receive
a challenging and forward-thinking education that combines classroom learning, practical
application, and experiential training in our state-of-the-art facility located in

Recent College News
The ÁùºÏͼ¿â Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Paul W. Sylvester Louisiana Cancer Foundation (LCF) Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship was established by private donations and with assistance from the Louisiana Cancer Foundation to support Sylvester's cancer research conducted in the ÁùºÏͼ¿â College of Pharmacy.
The Murphy Family donated $60,000 to the ÁùºÏͼ¿â College of Pharmacy to establish the T.D. "Doc" Murphy Superior Graduate Scholarship in Pharmacy in honor of Thomas Deckle Murphy, Class of 1962. The Louisiana Board of Regents Sponsored Programs Support Fund awarded $40,000 in matching funds, making the total value $100,000. A check presentation was held at the ÁùºÏͼ¿â College of Pharmacy on July 3, 2024.
