Message from President Eggensperger About the Coronavirus

\"\"March 12, 2020

Dear BRTC Community,

Over the past several days, the vice presidents, other faculty and staff leaders, and I have been communicating with our peers across the state to develop an appropriate response to the coronavirus pandemic.

This morning, a cross-departmental team from across both Pocahontas and Paragould locations met to discuss the coronavirus and its impact on BRTC employees, students, and community.Ìý I want to assure you that we are carefully monitoring the situation and have the BRTC mission as a priority second only to your health.

Currently, our team is focused on the following 4 goals:

  1. Ensuring the health and safety of BRTC and our communities,
  2. Providing a continuity of services,
  3. Providing support to address the health needs of surrounding communities, and
  4. Communicating consistent and unified information to stakeholders.

BRTC has set up a Campus Health page where the most up-to-date information will be posted.Ìý That link is http://blackrivertech.org/brtcstudents/campus-health

We ask that you continue to watch for BRTC updates, be mindful of others, maintain your personal health, and use good judgment.

Thank you,

Martin Eggensperger, PhD
Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ, President
